I Wanna Munch

After careful consideration- i.e., five straight hours of unsuccessful job searching, I've decided that now is the perfect time to create a food blog. Why food? What's a blog? And was that fourth cup of coffee really necessary? I couldn't possibly reveal those secrets. Anyway, those secrets revealed are as follows: Desperation, I don't know, and for the love of God, no.

Cooking is one of very few things I'm actually rather good at. Most likely because the result of cooking proves a delicious distraction from the harsh reality of existence, and the more I practice the longer I can escape. Also, that shit tastes real fucking good. As for documenting My So-Called Journey, I think it's almost assuredly a last-ditch effort to reap some semblance of success. Life comes at you fast. I should have listened when they warned me about the moment my youthful glow will fade and the passion for exploration I once so confidently wielded will dissipate into a trembling plea for just a singular moment of fucking peace. I'm sure it'll get better (??) but in the meantime, I'm going to cook and blog and pretend like everything is fine.

Blog names in rotation for consideration:
-Damn, Put That In Me
-A Big Ole Plate Of Hell Yeah
-Bless This (Tasty) Mess
-Rad Dad Kitchen Time
-The Underground Flavortown
-Munch Squad Special Ops
-I Wanna Munch

Personally, I'm quite fond of the latter. We'll stick with that for now.
Are blogs the proper platform to ask for comments and interactions? Again, what precisely IS a blog? I suppose we'll soon find out. So...comment your favorite name in the- the, I assume.. comment section below?

I truly hope this evolves into something productive and positive, if not just a personal column of stability. Here's to shooting for the stars, lest they shoot first.

Something Tasty

Today I'm writing for the sake of consistency. My roommate asked to see something tasty and Something Tasty is what she shall get. I'm going to be writing a recipe from memory (yikes!) and in the future, I'll update it with a photo. The setup of this post is going to be a little different from what I envision for the future of my posts. I want a food blog that's recipe first, backstory later. There are very few things more annoying than searching for a recipe and finding something promising, only to sift through what feels like 47 years of complete and utter food-unrelated nonsense. I would never want to do that to you. It's simply untenable. The recipe I chose to recall is dubbed Linguine & Scallops. You see, it's linguine and, well, scallops. I was lucky enough to have scallops caught right out of the Gulf by my dad. Bless. Linguine & Scallops Ingredients: -Linguine, 8oz (roughly) -Scallops (my best guess is half a quart. i'm so sorry, ...
